S.S. American Star

A depiction of the beached wreck on the Canary Islands. Done from memory earlier today in class, so in a technical manner, it is not 100% accurate. It's the short & stubby, more rusted, Disney version. The actual drawing is relitively small, w/ the ship spanning the length of my thumb. The wreck looked similar to this a couple of years ago, but has now listed heavily to the port side and dropped half of it's smokestack into the ocean. The deckhouse seems to be tearing from the ship now, and the wrecksite has drifted from a very strange but exciting looking structure to a sad, end-in-sight, mangled mess. In it's day, the ship was extraordinarily beautiful.
